What to bring to your consultation

The more we see up front, the more specific our advice can be. Helpful documents by type of matter:

Matter Documents to gather
Real estate dispute or transaction Deed, purchase contract and addenda, title commitment and policy, survey, lien filings, lease, HOA notices, photos and correspondence.
Business dispute The contract and amendments, company or partnership agreement, invoices, emails and texts, and financial records relevant to the dispute.
Insurance claim Full policy with declarations, claim number, denial or payment letters, adjuster and contractor estimates, photos, and receipts.

How long things take

Timelines depend on the matter. A contract or lease review may take days. A demand letter or negotiated resolution may take weeks. Litigation in Harris County courts commonly takes many months to more than a year, with mediation often in between. Is the discovery call free?

The discovery call is a brief, no-obligation conversation to understand your situation and explain next steps, including how to book an in-depth consultation.

When do I sign a retainer agreement?

At or after the initial consultation, once you've heard your options and our fee terms and decide to move forward. Fee terms are always put in writing.

Who will handle my case?

An attorney leads every matter. In step three, you'll meet with the attorney who will be directly handling your case, and you'll have a direct line of communication with them.

Can I meet in person?

Yes. Our office is at 4265 San Felipe St, Suite 1000, near the Galleria. If meeting in person is difficult, ask us about other options when you book.
