About Jack
Biography
Jack Rains is an Associate Attorney with Hayes Hunter PC, where he advises individuals and businesses in litigation, transactional, and planning matters. He rejoined the firm as an attorney in 2026 after passing the Texas bar exam, continuing a relationship with Hayes Hunter that began in 2022 as a summer clerk. Before law school, Jack also served as a legal assistant with the firm, giving him an early, practical understanding of how careful preparation and responsive client service can affect the outcome of a legal matter. Jack graduated from Texas A&M University in 2021 and earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston. His practice includes business and real estate litigation and transactions, business formation and contract matters, probate and estate planning, and personal injury and consumer protection matters.
Jack approaches each engagement with a focus on understanding the client’s objectives, identifying practical options, and developing an efficient strategy tailored to the matter at hand. Whether helping a business protect its interests, navigating a real estate dispute or transaction, or assisting an individual or family with an important legal issue, he strives to provide clear advice, meticulous preparation, and responsive service. Jack’s goal is to make complex legal issues understandable and manageable so that clients can make informed decisions with confidence.
He values long-term client relationships and recognizes that effective representation requires not only legal analysis, but also an understanding of the business, financial, and personal considerations driving a client’s decisions. Jack met his wife, Charlotte, while attending Texas A&M. They are looking forward to welcoming their first child, Thomas, in February 2027.
Preparation isn’t a step in the process. It is the process.”Jack Rains
